Charles Inniss: Author BioDear Fitness Seeker, My name is Charles Inniss, and I am a physical therapist and personal trainer that wants to help you get in shape. But I know you may be wondering if I know my stuff and can help you reach your goals. Well, here's a little bit about my background. Many online training programs and fitness ebooks are written by people with very little formal training, so it can sometimes be hard to find reliable information. I earned my BS in Health Studies and Masters Doctorate degrees in Physical Therapy at Boston University and have earned Personal Training certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. I was a nerd in college. Instead of going to parties I stayed up late reading Biology, Chemistry, and Anatomy textbooks-- I was usually 1-2 chapters ahead of the lectures. I was obsessed with learning everything I could about the human body because I wanted to be the best therapist possible. I ran track and field at Boston University, and it really ingrained the philosophy of "Strong Body Strong Mind" (a philosophy I still teach others). While I was completing my Masters in Physical Therapy, I began working as a personal trainer just to make a little extra money to help with school bills, but when I graduated I had a dilemma. I liked working in the gym setting, but I had a degree in Physical Therapy. At first, I moved out to Los Angeles and worked in a busy sports medicine clinic. It was actually a really cool experience. Most of my patients in the physical therapy clinic were wellness oriented and wanted to return to outdoor activities or workout programs. I actually felt like a personal trainer working with people who had orthopedic injuries. It was so rewarding to help people get back to doing activities they loved. After about 6 months, I decided to move back to Boston, and for about a year worked both as a physical therapist and personal trainer. There are many differences between the healthcare industry and the fitness industry, and I became frustrated as a health care professional. So, I transitioned to work full time in the fitness industry and for the past 8 years I have worked almost exclusively in the fitness industry. I have personally worked with hundreds of clients, and I have been teaching personal training seminars for the past 8 years. I have lectured in front of thousands of health students and aspiring personal trainers for Boston University, Rebook University, the American Council on Exercise, and a major Northeast Gym Corporation. I live and breathe health and fitness and have for many years now. There were two major work related events that inspired me to write the ebook Personal Training Secrets to Lose Belly Fat and Get a Flat Stomach. First, I was a lead instructor for Boston's first Outdoor Mom and Baby Boot camp Class called Bounce Back Fitness. And, second I owned a ladies only fitness facility. For years, ladies would ask me the same questions over and over, and I always said I should write everything down in a book (read more about why I wrote the book Personal Training Secrets). I put my all into writing my book because I wanted to help as many people as possible get in better shape and achieve their fitness goals. I've been teaching for nearly 15 years and working as a personal trainer for nearly 10 years, and I can teach you how to lose belly fat. It takes some work on your part, but I'll show you what to do.
