Charles A Inniss, Jr. DPTDear Friend and Fitness Seeker,My name is Charles A Inniss, Jr., and I am a Physical Therapist and Personal Trainer. I know that's a formal introduction and picture, but my mother always encourages me to use my full name. If this is your first time visiting my sight, welcome! And if you've visited before, thank you for your support of my site by returning. I want to tell you a little about myself and why I created this site. I created this site for you. I've been a physical therapist and a personal trainer for nearly 10 years, and the #1 question people ask me when they find out I'm a personal trainer is... "How do I get rid of this?", as they grab their stomachs. When someone asks me how to get rid of their stomach, I go into a long 30 minute discussion about stomach exercises, low carb diets, and workout tips. But, in the end I always leave feeling that the person still didn't have enough information to really reach their goals. > So I decided to create a website that is All-About-Abs, that way I could educate more people and help more people reach their goals. I hope you find the information on this site useful and informative. Here's a little more about me.I have to admit; I've always been a nerd and always loved school and learning. I earned my Bachelor's in Health Studies, Master's in Physical Therapy, and later my Doctorate in Physical Therapy all at Boston University. I love BU. As an undergrad, I was a scholar athlete with the Track and Field Team, as a long jumper and sprinter. After my senior year in college, I needed an outlet for my love of athletics and competition, so I started training for natural bodybuilding shows, thanks to a friend in my PT class. I had a lot of success as an amateur bodybuilder. I competed in 6 competitions and won 3 of them. Bodybuilding was so enlightening. I obsessed about my body, my workouts, and everything I ate. I read every magazine and research study I could find on strength training, muscle building, and fat loss. I've learned so much about my body, and I've been able to put many of the fitness claims to the test as the subject in my own perpetual research study. I've done all the work, studying and research. All you have to do is follow my lead. I've studied and practiced physical therapy in Australia, Louisiana, California, and Massachusetts (where I currently live). And, I've completed personal training certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and Reebok University. Many of my family members are teachers, and I have followed in their lead. In the past, I've taught 5th grade science and college gross anatomy, and for the past 5 years I've been teaching personal training seminars, throughout the northeast. Wellness, fitness, and education are my passions, and this is part of the reason I moved from the rehab setting to the wellness and community setting. When I was in the clinic I realized that there would be less need for rehab if I could educate and inspire people in the community to be proactive and wellness oriented. So this is my goal for this site. I'll do my best to make this the best abdominal website on the internet, and it is my hope that you allow me the privilege of being your friend, motivator, and guide in your quest for six pack abs or a flat stomach. Remember, your body is your most valuable possession, so cherish it and treat it well. Yours in Health,
