This page combines gliding disc piques with hip abductions (moving out to the side) and adductions (moving back to the middle). Check out the pictures and instructions below.
Best Abs Exercises for Women and Men:
Gliding Disc Piques with Hip Abductions and Adductions
This combo exercise will start with the pique and then move to the abduction and adduction.
Starting Position: Get into the plank position with your hands on the floor. Then, place your feet on top of two workout discs.
Form: First, while keeping your knees straight, slide the discs in towards your chest. Hold for a brief second and then extend your legs all the way back to the starting position.
Next, slide your feet out to the side (hip abduction), hold for a brief second and then slide your feet back together.
Repeat this pattern from the beginning 3-15 times.
Personal Trainer Tips: If the combo exercise is too challenging for your strength and/ or coordination, first master each individual exercise.
